Each Sunday, around 160 adults and 70 children and young people attend services at Redland. In our worship, we seek to draw in our music and liturgy from the vast range of contemporary material from around the world and the rich resources of the past. In our preaching, we seek to take seriously the teaching of the bible, and to apply its teaching to our lives.
On the first Sunday of the month we hold a Family Service for all ages. To give us enough space, we use the hall at Redland High School for Girls for a 45-minute service with songs, drama and a short talk. A more traditional Communion service is held in church at 11.15am.
On other Sundays, all ages meet together in church at 10.00am. The children and young people leave us after 15 minutes for their own activities. A crèche operates every Sunday morning.
In the evening, we offer a choice of services. 'Word Alive', which takes place in church at 6.30pm, provides a mixture of traditional and contemporary styles and a sermon based on a bible passage. Sunday @ 7 takes place in the Church Hall and is a more informal service often with contemporary music led by a worship band.
Following our morning services members of our prayer team are available to anyone who would value the opportunity to talk and pray over matters of personal concern. Coffee is served in the Church Hall. To help make our worship accessible to all, a large print version of the order of service is produced for all services and a loop system is available in church.
