Rocky’s Plaice is our five day holiday club programme for 7–11-year olds
Rocky’s Plaice focuses on stories about Peter from Acts and how the early church started to grow.
In the mornings we will have stories, activities, drama, music, games all based round our theme.
In the afternoons we will have our usual wide range of activities including horse riding, dance, climbing, swimming, sports and much, much more.
Rocky’s Plaice will run from Tuesday 27 July to Sunday 1 August. Put it in your diary now!

PS There’s a rumour Horace has been taking swimming lessons so he may be coming too!!
Lunch is not provided nor is supervision of children between the end of the morning session and the start of afternoon activities and children must be collected by a parent or other authorised adult.

Please be aware also that the activities are allocated on a first come first served basis so if you really really want a particular one you need to register AND return your forms as soon as you can. (Refunds will be paid on oversubscribed activities for which you have paid extra. Some activities only take place once during the week so you will need to be prepared to be flexible on your choices.)
This is the list of activities which will be available:
- Archery (Y3/4 only) (£3 extra) - Can you hit the bull's eye?
- Art workshop - Taking the theme of Rocky's Plaice and two hours of your own time, you'll create a masterpiece of your own!
- Ball Sports - An action packed afternoon of zany ball games to play with your mates.
- Balsa Planes - Create your own plane and give it a test flight.
- Baking - Don't forget to wash your hands and bring a tin to take home the goodies. This is always a popular choice!
- Ceramics - Make your own pot under the supervision of an expert.
- Climbing (£7 extra) - Scale new heights down at the St Werburgh's Climbing Wall.
- Craft workshop - Enjoy using glue and paper, card and paint? This is the one for you!
- Customise your T Shirt (Y5/6 only) - Transform an old T shirt into a work of art.
- Drama (Y5/6 only) - In a small group have fun while developing your dramatic skills.
- Football - Love football - this is the place to be!
- Funky Dance - Learn a new routine and have fun!
- Horseriding (£12.50 extra) - Take a pony out on a short hack through the countryside.
- Ice Skating (£5 extra) - Slide around on the ice; maybe you will become the next Dancing on Ice champion!
- Rounders - Spend an afternoon working in a team throwing, catching and hitting - could life get any better?
- Stage Makeup - Come and transform your body using special makeup techniques.
- Swimming (£1.10 extra) - Swim with your friends - what could be better?
- Tennis (£3 extra) - Improve your skills with an expert instructor and play a game with a friend.
- Trampolining - In a small group explore the many different ways you can bounce around.
Cost for the week (held from last year!) - £30 for one child, £55 for two, £75 for three. This includes a t-shirt and most of the activities but not the trip which is extra (£14.00) as are some of the afternoon activities (as listed above).
