Each year some of our young adults choose to spend time away from home as volunteers both in Britain and abroad. These can vary in time from a few weeks to a nine-month 'gap-year' project. They get involved in local life in ways which suit their skills and gifts. Whether that means teaching physics, leading youth groups or helping on AIDS education programmes, the opportunities are massive.
Sharing their time and talents as part of the worldwide Church, they often return home saying that they have learned and received much more than they have given.
As a church we encourage them, pray for them and offer financial support.
